Vero Beach is on
Florida’s east coast, quietly located
midway between West Palm Beach and the Kennedy
Space Center. The Gulf Stream ends just north
of Vero Beach affording the warm winter climate
with comparable temperatures to Palm Beach.
Vero Beach is small town life with the
cultural advantages of larger cities. It is a
model of planned growth with very strict
development criteria including a 35 foot
building height restriction.
Vero Beach offers a beautiful, interesting, unspoiled, uncrowded, peaceful and quiet life. In addition to active sports, including twenty plus golf courses, you may fish and boat in the Atlantic Ocean or in the Indian River, or sun yourself on the golden beaches. Piper aircraft is located next to the Vero Beach Municipal Airport, a controlled airport which will accommodate all private aircraft, commuter services and large jet planes.
Vero Beach is the spring training home of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Each Spring, baseball fans head for Holman Stadium and its 6,000 seats to watch professional baseball. The Vero Beach Dodgers, a Dodger farm team, play their 146 games in the Class A Florida State League providing professional baseball action throughout the summer.
Local theater groups add cultural enjoyment to Vero Beach while the Riverside Theatre features concerts, lectures and travel films. Next to the Riverside Theatre is Vero Beach`s Center for the Arts building. Walt Disney World and Kennedy Space Center are only 1-1/2 hours away, and Palm Beach and Orlando are within easy driving distances if you`re going to a major airport.
Indian River County supports churches of many denominations, an excellent hospital and outstanding medical staff and facilities should you require medical attention.
